The Turkey pictured in the pattern is made with Sweet Snuggles Lite and parfait chunky.

Feathers (make 5)

R1: 4 sc in a magic ring

R2: (1 sc, inc) x 2 (6)

R3: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)

R4: 9 sc

R5: (2 sc, inc) x 3 (12)

R7: 18 sc

R8: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)

R9: (2 sc, dec) x 3 (9)

R10-17 (8 rounds): 9 sc

Do not stuff. Fold feather in half and 4 sc across to close. Fasten off and leave long tails for sewing. Arrange the feathers in a pattern that you'd like. You can sew them onto the back of the turkey however you'd like.

This is how I like to sew them on:

1) Sew them together prior to sewing them onto the turkey. I sew the first three together like this:

2) Next, I sew the other two pieces on:

3) I place the entire piece onto the back of the turkey and sew them about 2 rounds up from the bottom of the turkey:

4) I place stitches about 1/2 up each feather into the body so that they stay upright (be sure to sew through only one side of the feather so that you can't see the stitches on the back):

The finished look:
