This pattern uses weight 6 blanket yarn. Though any yarn may be used, it is highly recommended to use a bulky weight yarn for this pattern. Use a hook 1-2 sizes smaller than your yarn calls for. This pattern is in US crochet terms.
This pattern is worked in continuous rounds and using a stitch marker to mark the first stitch is recommended.
*Safety eyes are NOT recommended for children who are three years old or younger.
The Bunny pictured in the pattern is made with Sweet Snuggles Lite yarn.
Body:
R1: 6 sc in a magic ring
R2: 6 inc (12)
R3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
R4: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
R5-6 (2 rounds): 24 sc
R7: 8 sc, bo, 6 sc, bo, 8 sc (24)
R8-11 (4 rounds): 24 sc
Insert safety eyes in between rounds 5 and 6, approximately 4 stitches apart. Ensure they are centered between the bo stitches (those are the arms).
R12: (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
Begin stuffing the body and continue stuffing as you go.
R13: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
R14: 6 dec (6)
Fasten off and sew hole shut.
Ears:
R1: 5 sc in a magic ring
R2: 5 inc (10)
R3-4 (2 rounds): 10 sc
R5: (3 sc, dec) x 2 (8)
R6: 8 sc
R7: (2 sc, dec) x 2 (6)
R8: 6 sc
Fasten off and do not stuff. Sew onto the head, approximately 1 round down from the top of the head. If using bulky yarn, you can fold over one of the ears and press it down to give it a bit of shape!
Embroider a nose.
